DORADO, PR, December 15, 2009 – Pharma-Bio Serv, Inc. (OTCBB: PBSV) (“Pharma-Bio”), a global regulatory compliance and consulting services provider to the health sciences industry, today announced the approval of the Collaboration Agreement between Scienza Labs, a division of Pharma-Bio Serv PR, Inc.  and Waters Technology Corp. PR Branch.

This partnership will allow both companies facilitate the implementation of the new Waters’ equipment called ACQUITY UPLCTM (Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography) by providing the complete package for easy implementation of this new technology. In addition to Waters selling the equipment, Scienza lab will provide method development, validation and filing to regulatory agencies for our clients in a strategy to help them take advantage of a faster and more competitive technology.  For years, industry has frequently used HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) in biochemistry and analytical labs to separate, identify, and quantify compounds for materials such as pharmaceutical products. The HPLC has evolved to UPLCTM.  Companies like to seek opportunities in every corner of their organization to create competitive advantages that can increase revenues. UPLCTM is a strategic technology that can simultaneously increase the laboratory productivity, decrease operational costs, facilitate faster product development and also reduce environmental waste.

We have learned that the industry has been very interested in the advantages this technology offers, but the limitation on resources to complete the regulatory requirements was being a constraint to implement it.  Waters has installed the UPLCTM technology in Scienza Labs and our scientists will be fully trained to expedite this process for our clients internally.  This is an alternative so that our clients can stay focused on their base business and routine testing, whereas, they outsource these projects which we will deliver as a turnkey solution.
